Kathryn R. Clay, a native of Atlanta, Ga., has 39 years of commercial banking experience, 21 spent in community development. In her current capacity with PNC Bank, Kathryn is responsible for managing the Banks’ Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) service initiatives. This includes managing/initiating community and public/private partnerships such as those with area housing authorities, area “Bank On” initiatives, Community Development Corporations (CDC’s), area nonprofit organizations and faith based organizations. Additionally Kathryn manages/oversees the market’s CRA related charitable giving.
During her banking career Kathryn has provided training and technical assistance on a variety of impactful issues and has served as a guest speaker and panelist for a number of organizations, including American University’s Washington School of Law, The DC Chamber of Commerce Business Resource Center and various community and church-based organizations. Additionally, Kathryn serves the Greater Washington community via her service on various non-profit boards and working groups including; The Women’s Community Development Corporation, Family Matters Inc., DC, the Affordable Housing Conference of Montgomery County, Bank on DC, FSC First, Inc. and the Financial Services Roundtable.
